UPDATE: Snow reported in southern NJ

As this system sets up off the east coast, most of the precipitation is currently off the New Jersey coast, east of Red Hook and south of Brooklyn / Long Island. Extreme south eastern and coastal New Jersey locations (Atlantic City) are reporting light snow as of 2:30am. Light snow is also reported in Brooklyn. It appears accumulations will be light as expected with most areas receiving a dusting or less and a potential for an inch or two in Ocean county, New Jersey and eastern coastal Connecticut.

I will be turning my attention to our next good chance of snow - which will come on Friday. For a great discussion of the Feb 2-3 system that is developing and some forecast models, check out TerpEast's Is there hope for the Feb 2-3 System? post on Eastern Weather Forums.
