Records:
This is now officially the snowiest January ever recorded in Central Park, NY with 36.0 inches. For those of you keeping score at home, it is the second snowiest month ever in NY behind February of last year when NY got less than one inch more (36.9").

2010-2011 is the 6th snowiest season ever in NY history with 56.1" in Central Park...those records go back to 1869.  #5 is 58.5" in 1872-1873. And it's only January 28th. For those of you who are snow fatigued let me remind you that the first measurable snow was on December 26th, so we have only seen about a  month of snow.
