VT Ski Conditions

The last storm dumped 8-12 inches on the Green Mtns so I needed to get up to Vermont and practice some turns. As is typical with Vail, Okemo was reporting 25" of new snow but luckily their own local @Okemoconditions more accurately reported 10" of freshies on twitter

now 25" would have been great, but it was fake news. Yesterday conditions were good there. Blue skies, sun, a bit windy with 5-10 mph breezes at the base. Gusts up top held the sunburst six until afternoon and the lack of snow and rain thu night left parts of mountain with a crunchy popcorn feeling. But for December 4th the mountain has some of the most coverage and best conditions in at least 3 years.

Skiers can expect some nippy early temps - 17 - when lifts start spinning, and maybe a few snow showers especially toward close and in the evening.
